Crazy Cyberstalker Interviewed By Media

Ann Bruno was accused of cyberstalking a competitor by police. When the local news media goes to interview her, she goes bonkers, donning an Easter Bunny head and a monster mask. Check it out.

I Don't Know What To Say

I had this link forwarded to me from a Coulton fan. Seems a little weird. Maybe you can let me know what you guys think. Could this really be true?

ON EDIT: Did a little google search. Seems this guy did a little research. All I can say is "huh".

EDIT 2: People on Twitter are claiming it's a hoax. It's hard to confirm, since the site is down now. The dude also started a Twitter account to complain. Weirdness continues.

ON EDIT: All explained here.

Get Your Free Dr. Pepper Today Only. Thank Axl Rose

As weird as it sounds, everyone in America gets a free Dr. Pepper soda today thanks to Guns N' Roses frontman, Axl Rose:
"Starting Sunday at 12:01 a.m., Guns 'N' Roses fans finally get to collect earnings on Dr Pepper's bet that the tumultuous band would never finish Chinese Democracy -- for 24 hours. Coupons redeemable for a free 20-ounce soda are available for one day only on Dr Pepper's Web site, although they will be good until February 28. After that, the freebies revert to huge traffic for the soft-drink manufacturer's servers."
Get your free soda here. But hurry. You only have until 12:01 AM EST on Sunday to get it. Drink up!

Jawbone's Party Place

Ok, the secret is out. We have had our own party place at a mini-golf course in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Dan from Traveling Munchies took his sons there to party like rockstars. He thought the art looked like some of my Monster By Mail stuff. And then, he discovered my secret party place (SPP). And yes, you can rent out this place for kid's birthday parties. Just make sure it's a kid you hate.

The Coulton/Mumy Connection

Dave Devries of The Monster Engine brought this up in the comments. There seems to be a connection between Internet rock star, Jonathan Coulton and Lost in Space alum, Billy Mumy. He also submits some photographic evidence. What say you? And do you think Coulton should be tapped to play Mumy in the upcoming Mumography. (not really happening.) More importantly, did Coulton really write Fishheads?

Ah, The Joy of Chess Boxing

Got this link from Nephew Mark today. Can this possibly be a real sport? According to this source, it is:
"Stripped to the waist, wearing towels around their shoulders and headphones playing the lulling sound of a moving train to drown out the baying crowd, the men played for four minutes.
Then off came their reading glasses and on went the gloves and the mouthguards.

For three minutes they beat each other and then, when the bell went, the chess board was back in the ring and they picked up the gentlemanly game where they had left off.

"This is the hard part, you are out of breath but you have to keep your wits about you,'' said David Steppeler, a 33-year-old instructor at the local chess boxing club."
Personally, I want to see this on a new version of Wide World of Sports (rest your soul. Mr.Mckay) along with full-blown competitive eating and of course, World Champion foxy boxing.

Have A Shin-Kicking Good Time!

Yes, this is a real sport. Don't believe me? Read this article. I'm glad someone is doing their part to keep competitive shin-kicking alive and well. Thanks to Monica for the heads up.

Feet Keep Washing Up On Shore

Heard about this on Hometown Tales. This is really weird:
"A fifth human foot in a year has washed ashore off the coast of British Columbia, and this time it's a left one. The first in the series was found nearly a year ago on Jedidiah Island in the Strait of Georgia. Within days, another right foot was found inside a man's Reebok sneaker on nearby Gabriola Island. The third was found in the same area, on the east side of Valdez Island in early February.

The origin on any of the remains is still unknown."

More Baby Creepiness

A few weeks back, I posted a link for Manbabies. Weird and creepy, yes. Yet we all collectively could not look away. Now, Paul from Paul and Storm gives us this bit of baby creepiness. Should you enjoy? Yes. But only after you run screaming from the room in fear to cleanse yourself of the weirdness.

Hidden Japanese Woman

What a weird story:
"A woman has been arrested in Japan for sneaking into a man's house and living in his wardrobe without him knowing.
Police found 58-year-old Tatsuko Horikawa living in a small storage space in the house in the southern city of Fukuoka."
Full story. Thanks to Dan for once again being ahead of the link curve.
